screen-shot-2016-11-03-at-11-49-35-pmSomehow, time keeps getting away from me. I have so much more I still want to say about my recent summer out on Vans Warped Tour, and I haven’t done the greatest job sharing those experiences, so I am pledging to get the rest of these articles up in the next week or so.

I remember overhearing a conversation sometime in the first week of the tour. I can’t even recall who was talking, or who he was talking to, but I certainly remember what was said.

“Have you gotten a chance to see Wage War yet? They may be the best band on this tour. They are just so freaking heavy.”

A few weeks later, and I remembered that statement when five friendly guys walked into one of our Save Our Scene workshops. We talked for an hour or two, and I had an amazing time getting to know them and share with them my passion for this work. At the end of the discussion, they were generous enough to invite me on stage every day to talk for a minute about AVFTI and to let their fans know that if any of them needed a place to learn or talk about the issue of sexual violence, that we were a resource for them. Not only that, but the band agreed to wear our shirts on stage and have signings at our booth.

These guys were so incredibly generous to us, and I really loved hanging out with them this summer. I am really looking forward to the next time our paths cross.

Their debut album, Blueprints, is out on Fearless Records, and is available on iTunes, Amazon, and anywhere else you find music.

And yes…they were one of the best bands on the tour. And they were super freaking heavy. If you like metal, this band comes highly recommended. Their video for Twenty One just passed a million views on YouTube, but I wanted to share my personal favorite, titled Alive. Check it out below.

Make sure to follow Wage War on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and anywhere else you can find them. Amazing musicians and I assure you they are even better people.
