Being A Supportive Family Member

Most of the time, we try to speak directly to survivors. But we know that no single service can offer all of the support every survivor needs. It’s incredibly important for people who have experienced sexual assault or abuse to have a strong support network in their lives as well. So for this episode, we talked with Miranda Pacchiana, MSW of The Second Wound about how family members can ensure they are responding properly if someone in their family has experienced sexual violence, and what being supportive really means.
