Jamie's Story Our Values

My name is Jamie Sivrais. I am the founder of A Voice For The Innocent and I am a sexual abuse victim.

In my late elementary/early middle school years, I was sexually abused by my father for three years. I was so young and I didn’t know how to say no to his abuse. When I finally worked up the courage to tell my mom what was happening, she said the words “sexual abuse”. It wasn't until then that I realized what was happening. Luckily, my mother created an amazing support system. She supported me, empowered me and helped me find my voice.

I’ve shared my story with many people. Often times, people came forward with a story of their own. One that they have never told. I created A Voice for the Innocent to give those people a voice. To anonymously share their stories of sexual abuse and rape with a group of people who will offer support, empathy, and share their own experiences in return. A Voice for the Innocent is my way to carry on the support that my mother gave me.

We can find help together.
